After School Programs

JOES ExCEL After School Program (Grades 1-5)

The Jose Ortega After School Program (ASP) is a collaborative program offered by Jose Ortega Elementary School, the School Health Programs Department and the Stonestown Family YMCA. The program, for grades 1-5, provides students with academic assistance, recreational activities, program enrichment, and personal growth and development opportunities. Its goals are to promote physical activity, nutritional awareness, increased academic achievement, and community involvement in a safe and well-structured environment.

The ASP program is free of charge. Students are expected to attend every day, ready to learn and prepared to work on assignments.

For further information about the Jose Ortega after-school program, call Fred Acebo at (415) 283-6999.
