You may donate directly to the PTA by writing a check to the “Jose Ortega PTA” and mailing it to the school or via PayPal. NOTE: PayPal charges a 3% fee for donations.

Easy Ways to Earn Money for Jose Ortega
1. Shop at Serramonte Mall
Win a FREE Field Trip for Jose Ortega from Serramonte! Every time you, your family and friends shop at Serramonte, points are awarded to your school. The five schools with the most points at the end of January win an all-expense paid field trip.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Bring your original cash register receipts from purchases at any Serramonte store (including the Daiso store across the street) to the Serramonte Information Center located at the Grand Court. They will stamp the receipt and return it to you. You may also bring your receipts to the school and drop them in the marked box in front of the office (these receipts will not be returned once counted.)
Earn extra points in November by shopping at select stores and visiting Santa and Mrs. Klaus at the mall. More details here.

2. Shop at Sports Basement
Sports Basement will give all JOES families an ongoing 10% discount. In addition, they will donate 5% of your purchase back to the school! Just tell the cashier our school name at the register to receive the discount.
Sports Basement is an outlet sporting good and outdoor retailer offering 10-60% off top brands, such as The North Face, Asics, Adidas, Timbuktu, Nike, Stride Rite and Crocs. 3. Shop at Amazon.com
Click here or the Amazon.com logo to the right to donate a percentage of your purchase to the Jose Ortega PTA!

4. Get a Target RedCard
If you sign up for a Target RedCard, you will be rewarded with 5% off every purchase while our school will get 1% cash back. You can choose from a RedCard credit card or a RedCard debit card that will deduct directly from your checking account. To enroll, go to the Target RedCard website and apply. Once your card arrives in the mail, go to the Target Take Charge of Education website and select our school to receive 1% cash back of your Target purchases. Our Target School ID is: 35298.
5. Register at OneCause
Register with OneCause. This fundraising program gives a percentage of every purchase you make at a variety of online vendors to the school. You do not have to apply for their OneCause Visa to use the program, but you must click-through their website before purchasing to register your contributions.

Register with eScrip: an easy, free, and automatic way to donate to our school every time you shop at Safeway, Andronicos, Mollie Stones and other participating merchants. Jose Ortega’s eScrip Group ID is 6522390.

- Click on ‘Group ID’ and enter 6522390 or click on ‘Group Name’ and search for Jose Ortega.
- Once you have selected Jose Ortega Elementary School PTA, you will be prompted through several pages where you will establish a secure password and register your cards.
7. Purchase school supplies at Office Depot
Shop at OfficeDepot.com. Purchases made for qualifying products at Office Depot credit 5% back to Jose Ortega if you give them the school name or ID number at checkout. Our ID number is 70014183. This works for both in-store and online purchases.
8. Collect Box Tops
