2009/10 Jose Ortega Annual Fund Campaign
Private donations are essential to closing the sizable “funding gap” that has developed in public education. While San Francisco Unified School District pays for many things, including Jose Ortega’s facilities and maintenance and teacher/principal salaries and benefits, it is Jose Ortega PTA’s fundraising efforts that support all other vital school programs that we have agreed to pay for – from visual and performing arts to the Winter Program and school beautification projects – that you and your children expect and deserve.
Jose Ortega asks that families contribute whatever is comfortable for them, with a target of $200 per student annually. We welcome all families to contribute to our Annual Fund, whether you can contribute $5 or $500.

Register with OneCause. This fundraising program gives a percentage of every purchase you make at a variety of online vendors to the school. You do not have to apply for their OneCause Visa to use the program.

Register with eScrip: an easy, free, and automatic way to donate to our school every time you shop at Safeway, Andronicos, Mollie Stones and other participating merchants. Jose Ortega’s eScrip Group ID is 6522390.

- Click on ‘Group ID’ and enter 6522390 or click on ‘Group Name’ and search for Jose Ortega.
- Once you have selected Jose Ortega Elementary School PTA, you will be prompted through several pages where you will establish a secure password and register your cards.
4. Purchase school supplies at Office Depot
Shop at OfficeDepot.com. Purchases made for qualifying products at Office Depot credit 5% back to Jose Ortega if you give them the school name or ID number at checkout. Our ID number is 70014183. This works for both in-store and online purchases.
