Our teacher librarian hosts weekly visits for pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. Each week the students look forward to going to the library for a read aloud or mini-lesson, book checkout, and center activities. Creativity Lab takes place at lunch times. Students have fun exploring materials such as Keva Planks, Legos, Joinks, Squigz, Magnatiles, and Snap Circuits. A cart of Chromebooks is housed in the room for students to do research and listen to or read eBooks. Fun activities that promote a love of reading such as the Scholastic Book Fair, California Young Reader Medal Award Contest Program, and A Poem In Your Pocket Day take place in the library every year.
