The Purposes of the Parent Teacher Association
- To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
Fundraising for Jose Ortega Elementary School
- We are registered with SchoolPop’s online shopping program. This fundraising program gives a percentage of every purchase you make at a variety of online vendors to the school. You do not have to apply for their OneCause Visa, but you do have to register your own credit cards with them. Click the link below to learn more.
- We are using BelieveKids as a fall catalogue fundraiser. The kickoff for this fundraiser is on September 5th. Final order forms and money (cash or checks made payable to Jose Ortega PTA) are due by Friday, September 19th. More details will be sent home with your child.
